چکیده

This article presents a number of issues that are related to the hyperspectral sensors which are part of new technologies for the acquisition of images in satellite and aerial remote sensing. Hyperspectral sensors are characterized by the fact that they produce records in a large number of adjacent and narrow lanes thereby providing a very high spectral resolution. In this way, interpretations and analyses can be made of the remote images at the micro-level, highlighting the features of details which could not be underlined with multispectral sensors. There are many applications that use hyperspectral images and they are related to agriculture, forestry, geology, environmental monitoring.

Overlap-based feature weighting: The feature extraction of Hyperspectral remote sensing imagery

Hyperspectral sensors provide a large number of spectral bands. This massive and complex data structure of hyperspectral images presents a challenge to traditional data processing techniques. Therefore, reducing the dimensionality of hyperspectral images without losing important information is a very important issue for the remote sensing community. We propose to use overlap-based feature weigh...

Enhancing the detection and classification of coral reefand associated benthic habitats:A hyperspectral remote sensing approach

[1] Coral reefs and associated benthic habitats are heterogeneous in nature. A remote sensor designed to discriminate these environments requires a high number of narrow, properly placed bands which are not currently available in existing satellite sensors. Optical hyperspectral sensors mounted on aerial platforms seem to be appropriate for overcoming the lack of both high spectral and spatial ...

Introducing Satellite Remote Sensing Systems and its Application in Archaeology Case Study: Behshahr Plain- Mazandaran

Human groups have considered the Behshahr plain of Mazandaran in the past Due to its particular geographical shape, location between the Caspian Sea and mountains, and the existence of some rivers in the region. However, our knowledge of this area is limited to several published surveys and archaeological investigation of its ancient sites. No detailed research has conducted on the formation of...

Fusion of Multispectral Imagery and Spectrometer Data in UAV Remote Sensing

High spatial resolution hyperspectral data often used in precision farming applications are not available from current satellite sensors, and difficult or expensive to acquire from standard aircraft. Alternatively, in precision farming, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are emerging as lower cost and more flexible means to acquire very high resolution imagery. Miniaturized hyperspectral sensors h...
